What you can build
Connect AI assistants to Marq brand templates, documents, brand kits, and data.
Marq MCP connects an AI assistant to a user's Marq account, so the assistant can produce finished, on-brand documents instead of describing how to make one.
It implements the Model Context Protocol. Any MCP-capable client connects with a URL and a sign-in.

What you can build
Collateral at the moment someone asks for it. A salesperson tells their assistant they have a call with an account in an hour. It finds your approved one-pager template, fills in that account's details from your data in Marq, applies the brand kit, and returns a PDF. No designer, no design tool, no waiting.
Every language, same layout. Point the assistant at a finished document and ask for it in six languages. Text is replaced in place with formatting preserved, so the layout survives translation instead of breaking under it.
A rebrand applied to documents you already have. New colors and fonts land across existing content — the assistant reads the brand kit and applies it by brand role, rather than someone opening every file to swap hex values by hand.
Documents built from a dataset. Listing sheets, product sheets, statements, event programs. The assistant reads your collection's schema, finds the right rows, and populates the smart fields that reference them.
How it works
The assistant works as the signed-in user. It can reach the templates, images, datasets, brand kits and documents that person can already open in Marq — no more, and nothing belonging to anyone else. Permissions are checked on every call, so access removed in Marq is access removed from the assistant immediately.
Connect in about two minutes
Most clients need only the URL above. They register themselves automatically and walk the user through signing in to Marq. Full steps: Connect an AI assistant.
There is no waitlist, no application, and no plan requirement. If you have a Marq account, you can connect today.
What it is not for
Batch generation. MCP is an assistant working with a person on one document at a time, and it is rate limited accordingly. For generating hundreds of documents from a data source, the REST API is faster and built for it.
Editing your templates. Templates stay pristine. The assistant creates a project from a template and edits the project — which is what you want, since the template is the thing everyone else starts from.
